School Canteen Advertisement
Sembawang Secondary School seeks applications to operate a Halal noodle stall in the school canteen. If successful, operation of the new stall will likely commence from September 2026.
Application Criteria
Applicants should possess the following criteria:
a) Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident;
b) Must possess Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) Food Safety Course
Level 1 (formerly known as Basic Food Hygiene Course (BFHC)) conducted
by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)- approved training providers;
c) Able to provide food/ drinks that meet the health/nutritional standards
under the Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP) set by the Health Promotion
Board (HPB) (https://www.hpb.gov.sg/schools/school-programmes/healthy-meals-in-schools-programme);
d) Able to provide good service and quality food/drinks at prices as recommended
by MOE;
e) Able to observe a high standard of food/drinks and personal hygiene
as per Singapore Food Agency (SFA) requirements;
f) Must be operating the stall in person during the specified operating
hours;
Application Process
Download and complete the application form below. You may also request
for a hardcopy from the School’s General Office at 9am – 5pm, Monday to
Friday.
Attach the following supporting documents together with the application
form:
a) A photocopy of applicant’s NRIC (front and back)
b) A photocopy of applicant’s Certificate in Workforce Skills Qualification
(WSQ) Food Safety Course Level 1, and any other relevant certificates in
Food Hygiene.
c) List of proposed menu and prices, with details in ingredients and portions
used for each item.
d) Proof of previous experience in operating a food stall (at school canteen
or outside school), if applicable.
Submit the completed application form and supporting documents by closing date via email (sembawang.ss@moe.gov.sg) OR to the School’s General Office at 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified for an interview and required to provide food samples for the School Canteen Selection Committee at the applicant’s own expense.
