Chinese Dance
Explore Chinese Dance at Sembawang Secondary, where students build confidence and master the art form through weekly training, school performances, and the Singapore Youth Festival.
Chinese Dance aims to nurture students’ passion for dance while fostering an appreciation of Chinese culture and heritage. Through regular training and performance opportunities, members develop their dance techniques, confidence, discipline and sense of responsibility. Guided by a dedicated instructor, students gain a deeper understanding of the art of Chinese Dance while cultivating teamwork, resilience and a commitment to excellence. The CCA provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and grow both as performers and individuals.

Key Programmes:
School Performances and Showcases – Members participate in school events and performances, providing opportunities to showcase their talents and develop confidence, stage presence and teamwork.
• Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) – Members train and perform for the biennial SYF Arts Presentation, strengthening their dance techniques, artistic expression and performance excellence.
• External Performance Opportunities – Selected members represent the school at community and public events, such as the One Canberra National Day Dinner, gaining valuable stage experience and exposure to diverse audiences.
• Learning Journey to the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre – Members deepen their appreciation of Chinese culture and heritage through performances, exhibitions and interactive learning experiences
