Our Engagement Charter

At Sembawang Secondary School, we believe that strong school-home-community partnerships are fundamental to student success and wellbeing. Through respectful communication, collective effort, and timely engagement, we create a collaborative environment that ensures every student receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Official Modes of Communication

Communication Hours

• Parents are advised to contact our teachers during school hours, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

• Other than in emergencies, staff are not required to respond outside school hours or during school holidays.

• For urgent matters, please contact the General Office (6756 6760) during school operating hours. Our teachers may be in class or unavailable.

Teachers’ Contact Information

• You may wish to email our staff at their email address which can be found on our school website.

• Please note that teachers are not obliged to share their personal mobile numbers, and your understanding is appreciated.

Response Time

• The school aims to provide responses within:

  • 3 working days: For simple enquiries

  • 7 working days: For enquiries or cases requiring investigation

  • 21 working days: For complex enquiries or cases involving multiple parties or external agencies.
