About the CCA
SembWinds, the Concert Band, and the Sembawang Secondary School Percussion Ensemble (SEMPER) offer students an exciting platform to grow as confident and expressive musicians.
Through regular training, students develop their musical skills while learning the importance of teamwork, discipline, perseverance and commitment. They also gain valuable opportunities to perform at school events, music exchanges, the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) and the Singapore International Band Festival (SIBF).
More than just making music, SembWinds and SEMPER bring students together through shared experiences, friendships and a love for performance, nurturing resilient and passionate individuals who contribute actively to the school community

Signature Programmes:
1. Performance & Competition Programme
Students gain valuable performance experience through school events, community platforms and competitions such as the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) and Singapore International Band Festival (SIBF). These opportunities strengthen their musical proficiency, confidence, discipline and ability to perform cohesively as an ensemble.
2. Percussion & Ensemble Development Programme
Through sectional practices, ensemble training and workshops, students develop their instrumental techniques, musicianship and ensemble skills. They learn to listen attentively, coordinate their playing and work collaboratively towards shared musical goals.
3. Music Enrichment & Learning Journeys
Students broaden their musical experiences through concerts, music exchanges, workshops and learning journeys. These opportunities deepen their appreciation of music, expose them to different styles and practices, and enable them to learn from fellow musicians and other ensembles.
